conduction- i use a phrase " im gonna conduct your ass", or conduct an alien by TOUCHING IT, conduction is heat transfer between 2 things by them TOUCHING.
convection- it sounds like vent and vent bring hot air to places, this is what convection does

Conduction relies on heat (such as from an oven top element or flame) heating up a surface, the vibration/energy given to this surface is spread from on atom to the next via collisions between atoms.
Convection heats upon area of fluid (i.e. water, soup or air). the heated up fluid is less dense and moves about more, when it moves, colder fluid moves to take its space, and gets heat, then moves away in turn.
If you imagine a pot of soup on an element. The heat travels through the pot from the element by conduction. The heat that the base of the pot now holds is given to the soup touching the bottom of the pot by conduction. The heated soup liquid moves away, and is replaced by colder soup, which is also heated. (the hotter soup passes on energy to other parts of the soup by conduction, generating more convection etc. and this would continue until the soup reaches the same temperature as the element, or evaporates.)
