Siberian Huskies were developed by the semi-nomadic Chukchi people of eastern Siberia. Huskies remained isolated in Siberia for hundreds of years, until the beginning of this century in 1908, when they were brought to North America. No date of the breed's origins is known, but DNA testing has proved that Huskies are one of the oldest breeds of dogs.
