In the beginning anything and everything available was used. I've heard of 18630Enfields and Tower muskets, but not Enfield Tower muskets.
It may be surprising to realize that up until 1863 the Confederacy was extremely successful in obtaining arms and ammunition. Arms were brought to the Confederacy in impressive quantities. In certain situations the South were often better armed than the North. The blockade runners brought in almost 8,000 Enfield rifles and over 17,000 pounds of gunpowder in November of 1861. From Bermuda, in 1863, about 80,000 Enfield rifles, 27,000 Austrian rifles, 2,000 British muskets, 2,000 Brunswick rifles, almost 400 carbines, and 130 cannons.
what you have is a converted civil war 58 cal. musket. After the civil war those muskets were converted to 50/70 cal (trapdoor) center fire rifles. Later the 45/70 (trapdoor) came into being. Value depends on overall condition of the rifle................
