jersey woolies originated from New Jersey
Jersey Woolies are a result of cross breeding Netherland Dwarfs and French Angora resulting in small, fluffy rabbits.
Any rabbit! But the most popular rabbit breeds are Holland Lop, Jersey Wooly, and/or Netherland Dwarf Rabbit!
Jersey Wooly Rabbit WidthAccording to the standard of perfection the Jersey Wooly should have a compact body whose width is about the same as the depth. The shoulders should be almost as wide as the hind quarters. In the official Jersey Wooly guidebook it also states that the length of the body should be approximately equal to the depth. So basically, you are looking for the body to be as wide & tall as it is long.In the width of the face, I tend to look for the width between the eyes to be almost the same as the distance from the corner of the eye to the tip of the nose... Picture an equilateral triangle with a point at the tip of the nose and a point at the corner of each eye.Joyce Brandonhttp://www.jerseywoolyrabbits.com
Yes, they can even be sheared like a sheep, but you have to very careful. Either way, it's sure to freak out the rabbit.
Holland Lop, Netherland Dwarf, and Mini Rex. Also the Lionhead has become very popular lately! and maybe the Jersey wooly!
They originate from Algeria.
