You catch Groudon in the Cave of Origin in Sootopolis. There will be a man blocking the entrance. First, however you must defeat Team Magma and foil their plans until the leader, Maxie, uses the blue orb and Groudon awakens and goes out of control. Then, Steven and Team Aqua leader Archie should appear. Steven says he will be in Sootopolis. I suggest that training your pokemon and healing them at the PC is a good idea first. (Groudon I think is level 45.) The man blocking the entrance has stepped aside. Wallace and Steven are there. Once Wallace or the man ( I can't remember) sees you have the Red Orb, They let you in. NOTE: I suggest that you use Ultra balls or a Master Ball. But if you haven't caught all the Regis yet, you might want to save your Master Ball if you don't want to struggle with them. you will only need to inflict a bit of damage for the Regis. If on the computer playing Ruby,(like me,) then I suggest you save before your battle with Groudon, after you inflicted a bit of damage, when seeing if you can weaken Groudon some more,(just in case you make him faint,) and just before you throw an Ultra or Master Ball. I kind of forgot this is only the where to catch Groudon question, but I hope this helps anyway!
