The power cord has no continuity in the "N" wire. I checked all three with an ohm meter and the "N" wire had no continuity. An "open" of some kind. I am now looking for a replacement power cord to avoid taking it apart and "hard wiring" a cord in. Office Depot claims not to have parts for these shredders, i.e., replacement power cords. A Dell computer power cord will not work. (At least mine didn't).

Try the following steps and check if it fixes the problem after each step: 1) Unplug the power from rear of printer, then press & hold the power key for at least 30 seconds, then release the key & plug in the power cable back. 2) Unplug the power cord from rear of printer. Press and hold the # and 3 keys together and while holding them plug the power cord back in. 3) Unplug the power cord from the rear of printer. Press and hold the # and 6 keys together and while holding them plug the power cord back in.
