Try going to Tom Nook's and select 'Catalog, please' or anything involving catalogs when you talk to him. Look for the lamp. After sunset in Animal Crossing, check your mail - you should have received a letter from Tom Nook with the lamp attached. It might not work because you can't order certain things from the catalog 'cause they're not for sale.
