In Greek mythology it also testifies the existence of werewolves. Their God Zeus once disguised himself as a traveler and looked for hospitality to the court of vicious Arcadian King Lycaon. The King recognized the God and tried to kill him by serving him human flesh. God Zeus caught the terrible trick and did not eat. Outraged, Zeus condemned Lycaon to spend rest of his life as a wolf. Most probably this mythology originated the Greek word "Lycanthrope" . Lycanthropy comes from the Greek lykoi: "wolf" and anthropos: "man".
the idea of werewolves was created in 1942 bud
no that is just the movie but they say werewolves started from vikings
yes dam yes why because were like werewolves
the myth about werewolves was passed down from generation to generation, and the myth started hundreds of years ago. people only recently put them in books, so there is no single book that started the myth about werewolves.
its because people have passed down stories of werewolves. they have been said to be in stories of Greek mythology too. there is one story when Zeus, the Greek god, turned Lycaon into a wolf as a punishement for murdering a child. i guess there are some people who took an interest in them, or have told their children stories about werewolves.
The Olympics were started as a ceremony honoring Zeus, the Greek god. One theory is that a cook had won a race of three and a half miles, starting the Olympics. :)
I believe the answer you're looking for is "Lycanthropes" often referred to as "Lycans" in the Underworld movies. Which is basically just a bigger word for Werewolves derived from the greek origins of Wolf and Man.
Only "Greek" and "God" should be capitalized in the phrase "the Greek god theory."
Vampires burn in sunlight because they are in theory dead. And dead things are cold. :P
the Greek Philosophers did not test their theory.
In the late midevil times and it started with the english first. Then the first nations, then finally everybody had werewolves. The Chienese called them "Beat Gods" and the first nations called them "Skin Walkers"
References to werewolves have been around since Ancient Greek literature and mythology.
