u need 8 stars to enter the first star door, run forward till u fall thru the floor, complete the stage to fight bowser
the 2nd star door is on basement u need 30 stars and have to get 1st star in dire dire docks then u can access bowser stage
3rd star door is at top of castle u need like 70 stars to solve endless stairs and then get to final bowser stage
