Were is the dpfe solenoid on a 1993 F250?

97 powerstroke hard start white smoke on morning starts. I cycle glow plugs 4 or 5 times (the gp lite stays on 3 to5 secs each cycle) engage the starter and it will fire one time rite away but doesnt start I continue cranking than white smoke begins pouring out of tail pipe for next 15 to 30 seconds at which time I stop, go out open fuel canister drain valve half way, cycle glow plugs once more and it starts rite away go out shut drain valve, and idles and runs pefectly. Now when I open the drain valve I notice no fuel come down the drain but once its running there is fuel draining
