I don't know when but I do know why. Why Barbie sued bratz was because they were jealous of bratz and they said that the bratz looked exactly like them.

No, I think it was because of the design of the Bratz. They apparently they copied the design of something else - it might of been Moxie Girls as they have HUGE similarities of each doll. But the company sued them, made them bankrupted and were forced not to sell any more. Although the Bratz dolls are still selling in small portions and only the basic dolls such as Bratz 'Kids', Bratz 'Sportz' and Bratz 'Babies' it is slowly going and soon be gone as Barbie, Moxie Girls and Liv Doll are taking over. But if you do still have Bratz dolls, don't throw them away - I predict that in about 5 - 10 years to become more and more wanted and you would get a lot of money out them! Since in 2008 MGA was sued by Mattel and had to discontinue making the dolls. Once the line was discontinued, MGA made another line of dolls called MOXI GIRLZ, hence why they look similar. Actually they're not the same, they make look sort of the same, but they didnt replace them... they're just being sued so Bratz aren't currently being made, but idk if they ever will be again

The "guy" that created Bratz dolls created them while working for Mattel. He presented the idea to the company but they weren't interested. He then went to work for MGA, bringing the concept with him. MGA produced the doll, but because the concept was created while the "guy" worked for Mattell they had ownership of it.
Are bratz better than Barbie dolls?
In comparison, Barbie dolls look and seen mature more than Bratz dolls. Although, Bratz dolls are absolutely fabulous, as much as Barbie, and Barbies have ALWAYS been out ever since. Barbie company never had a breakdown. So, comparing them both are absolutely hard, and their clothes fit them both. I had tried Bratz clothing on Barbie and it fit. Maybe because Bratz's first producers, Mattel, had produced clothing first. Then came MGA E and the employee from Mattel came to MGA E and then were sued. This is a long story.
