A civil war occurs when 2 or more factions fight to control a single government. The Revolutionary and the "civil war" were both fought to create a separate government, and technically not civil wars.

If you mean the northern states, they fought in the Civil War. Other than that one time, the US has always been united. Any wars which involved the north, involved the entire US. The US has, of course, fought in two world wars and many other wars.
There have not been any major wars in Zambia. However, there were a few times when violence escalated: During election time and politicians are campaigning. The struggle for independence from the British in 1964. The coup against the government in 1994.
