46million for ww1 1600million for ww2
They were both red scares and anticommunists regimes. There was more propaganda in WW1 red scare than the WW2 one. Both were known as "fighting an invisible enemy" because of the fact that both scares were fear based
WW1 and WW2 were seperate wars. WW2 started by the idealism of Adolf Hitler when he becam füher in 1933. WW1 had little to do with WW2 other then the fact that Germany was seen as a weak and hated nation.

They are 2 very large & far reaching conflicts of the 20th century. WW2 is by far the larger. Technology has a great acceleration in both instances. Civillian involvement in WW2 is massive & in WW1 was minimal. Germany is seen as the villan in both instances & the US was decisive in both. In WW1 Russia is heavily defeated & in WW2 the USSR has a mighty struggle with the German invasion forces. Submarines (U boats) sink many merchant ships in both conflicts, causing great hardship to Britain. France has a massive role in WW1 but is knocked out of WW2 in a few short weeks. Japan is on the side of the Allies in WW1 and the Axis in WW2, the same applies to Italy. South America is largely unaffected by both WW1 & WW2. Militarily WW2 is far more mobile, both the Tank & the Aircraft, products of WW1 are redesigned out of all recognition in a short space of time in WW2. WW1 features Poison Gas, WW2 does not. Static trench warfare does not exist in WW2.
Britain, France, Russia & the US are common to the Allies in both WW1 & WW2. They are opposed by Germany in both wars. In WW1 Italy & Japan were both on the side of the Allies, in WW2 they were on Germanys' side. Turkey was on the side of Germany in WW1 & Neutral in WW2. Austria/Hungary was on the side of Germany in WW1 & were also on Germanys' side in WW2, (although it might be said by force rather than choice.) although they were then 2 separate countries.
Submarines fought in both WW1 and WW2.
Jamaica fought in both WW1 and WW2 on the Allied side.
France and Britain were allies in both WW1 and WW2 even when much of France surrendered in WW2
Periscopes were used in both WW1 and WW2. They were used on submarines and in the trenches. It was dangerous to look over the top of a trench so soldiers developed "trench periscopes".
