Browning made the A-500R which was the hunting model, they made the A-500G which was similar to the A-500R but was gas operated and had A-500G in gold accents on the receiver, and the A-500G sporting clays which had a self cleaning piston rod,gas action with self-regulation,alloy receiver with non glare black finish and gold hunter on the receiver side.
They tell you what the barrel(s) is/are choked. One-full, Two=Modified, Three = Cylinder.
In 2005, the National Belgian Railway Company decided to split the Belgian Railway company into three parts. These three parts are the Infrabel, the B-cargo operator of passenger and freight management, and the Belgian Railway Holding to oversee the entirety of the divisions. This was an economic move to reduce the stress of different Belgian regulations.
There are three different models of the Oldsmobile Alero; the GX, the Gl, and the GLX
Hello, I am a Browning collector. Browning built the following A-500 models. #1. A-500 This is a recoil model with light engraving on the receiver side panels. #2. A-500-R This is a later model same as above. Recoil model with Red accented A----500---R on receiver side panels. #3. A-500-G G means Gas operated. Has gold accented A-----500----G. On the receiver side panels. My special notes: I am a gunsmith and have used and owned many high quality pieces.Including many Winchester 21.Merkels,Simpsons,Ithacas,Superposed high grades of all sorts. You name it. I can assure you that the Browning A-500s are built of high quality. I have a bunch of them. They can shoot 2-3/4" or 3" loads with absolutely no problems. Plus you have the Invector choke system in the barrels. Believe it or not the A-500s fit me like a glove.A little better on the Gas models.Comb height is dead on! Keep in mind that this is a sexed-up field gun with competition features. It has a raised rib that you see on most trap guns now days.Something that was unusual in its day for a field gun.It was an expensive gun to build. The Gas model barrels have to be the most expensive to produce that I have ever seen for autoloaders. The 4-Lug breach bolt is a work of art. These are bargain basement shotguns that can usually be had for in the $400.00-$550.00 range for a nice example. Thanks,Weyer Farms.
No. 'Browning' hasn't been Browning in a long time. It is owned by a Belgian corporation. Likewise, 'Winchester' has not been Winchester in a long time. It became US Repeating Arms Company years ago, and is now owned by the same Belgian corporation that owns the Browning name. The actual 'Winchester' trade-name is owned by the Olin Corporation (used to make the guns, now just makes the ammunition) and was licensed to USRAC. USRAC made the Model 70, Model 1300 and Model 94 at their plant in New Haven CT, which was closed as of March 2006. There are no plans for those three models to be produced anywhere else, per USRAC. They will continue to produce their other models which are actually made overseas. The USRAC plant in New Haven, along with all fixtures, tooling, etc, is currently for sale. The winning buyer will have the opportunity to negotiate with the Olin Corporation for licensing the Winchester name. It is not a package deal. So, it IS possible that we will see Model 70's, Model 94's and Model 1300's back in production - but under a different brand name, and possibly even from another country. sales@countrygunsmith.net
the three types of models are physical models, idea models and computer models.
