My daughter has a Leonie Maplelea and she also has a Saige American Girl. She loves them both. They are both beautiful. Personally, if I had to chose between the two, I think Leonie would probably win over as I find the detail/quality of the Maplelea clothing & shoes to be superior to American Girl. I also find the Maplelea dolls to have a slightly more slender body, which I prefer the look of in clothing. Just a personal opinion though and again I must stress that they are both wonderful dolls.
