The differences between Pokémon Silver and Pokémon Crystal is that Pokémon Crystal allowed players the option of playing as either a male or a female player, Move Tutors were added into Crystal, the Battle Tower was added, Suicune can be caught in the Tin Tower in Crystal whereas in a roaming Pokémon in Silver, both Lugia and Ho-Oh could only be caught after defeating the Champion in Crystal, Japan added the GS Ball feature into the game for the Ilex Forest in Crystal which would allow you to get Celebi and Crystal added the Odd Egg however for Japanese players they would've received a ticket from the Daycare Man and you would've needed to redeem it over at the Pokémon Communication Center in Goldenrod and the Pokémon that hatched would've had a 50% chance of being a Shiny Pokémon however for international players which would include American players, the Daycare Man will give you the Odd Egg however there's a 14% chance of the Pokémon being a Shiny Pokémon and the Pokémon that could hatch from the Odd Egg would include Pichu, Igglybuff, Cleffa, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Magby and Elekid.
