That clarinet was made in 1962. I had one in mint condition; sold it as a trade in for $500 to a dealer. But the above writer is correct. I bought it new, rarely used it and repadded it brfore I sold it.. The condition of a 45 year old horn with a lot of use, cracks etc. could knock the price way down. I see on eBay Buffets from the forties going for $150. to 250...sampark2
The condition the instrument is in is a large factor in determining the price. But I would say that if the clarinet is truly a 1968 Buffet r13 from the "Golden Era" then you could get a very decent price for it. I'm not an expert in the pricing of clarinets but looking around I've seen a few r13 models of around the same time go from around $1000 - $2500 and even $3000 for ones in mint condition or completely refurbished. I would check with a music store or a professional clarinetist who is knowledged in Buffet clarinets.
(P.S.): I was just curious as to how you know the model is from 1968? I checked some serial listings, and I think that it may actually be a model from around 1964-1966, but I'm not quite sure)
Try Beneficial.com.But, first I'd find a mortgage broekr who works with multiple lenders to find the best deal. Usually, these loans get sold later, but getting the loan is the first objective.

Age, wear and tear, state of the pads and corks, cracks in the wood, the quality of sound, and the type-basic clarinet evaluation.
=Well first off, the H20799 is just the serial number on the clarinet. It isn't important on the value of the clarinet. Second, it depends on if it is wood or plastic.=
Model, condition?
The value of a Clarinet is like diapers; it Depends.

Can't help you on the value--I would look for a clarinet blog or web site and ask there. The Selmer serial number chart indicates that would have been made in 1942.
$2000 i also have one
What is the value of a Bluescher clarinet played in the 1930's in it's original case # 206217
The value of a clarinet depends on its condition. I suggest taking it to a dealer or instrument repair technician to get an evaluation. Some of the things to consider is the condition of the pads and corks, how well the instrument has been care for, how worn the keys are, is the action of the keys good for starters.
