The conversion from methadone pills to liquid form can vary based on the concentration of the liquid preparation. Typically, liquid methadone is available in concentrations such as 10 mg/mL or 20 mg/mL. Therefore, to equal 40 mg of methadone from a 10 mg/mL solution, you would need 4 mL, and from a 20 mg/mL solution, you would need 2 mL. Always consult a healthcare professional for precise dosing and conversion.
Methadone pills are often called "dollies"or "dolls", and of course it is sometimes shortened to meth. And then a slang nickname for it is "liquid handcuffs". Other names are "wafers" usually for the 40mg pill, and "don" for liquid.
There may be a slight difference in the time it takes to get into your system. I have heard people say that the liquid worse for your teeth and tongue but it's probably minimal at best. Methadone 10mg pills take an hour and Ten minutes to feel the effect. With the liquid it usually takes around 25 minutes to a half an hour. Also Liquid is injectable where as some forms of the pills will gell up on you making them not injectable. Another problem is that the pills have been known to cause more nausea.
no
Because they can ^ an idiot typed this. Methadone clinics dispense liquid methadone diluted with water instead of pills because its much more difficult to hide an ounce of liquid in your mouth and sneak it out of the clinic (to spit out and save, or give to someone else) than a pill. You can talk normally with a pill tucked into your cheek or under your tongue. You cannot talk normally with an ounce or two of liquid in your mouth. They have a sign on the dosing counter window that tells patients to "speak to the nurse after swallowing your dose" at the clinic I attend.
lots
if you don't filter it, into your veins
No. No sleeping pills should be taken while on methadone. Ask your doc for something to help you sleep. I used to be on it and they prescriped everybody seroquel. Its not a sleeping pill but its side affect is sleeping. because you cant mix the two. It can kill you. I took a lot of things while i was on methadone but i never once messed with the sleeping pills
It usually takes methadone 3 to 5 days to clear out depending on your rate of metabolism.
The only way that could happen is if he took one of your methadone pills. Keep them locked up!
Liquid Methadone reminded me exactly of Cherry cough syrup. I've only had the red kind, though. I've heard there was a clear liquid as well, so maybe someone who's had the clear liquid can answer also, but I'm pretty sure the red liquid Methadone is the most common liquid given these days. As far as the pills go? Odorless.
