Sulphur dioxide is made up of two(2) elements. They are Sulphur and Oxygen. They are both found in the Periodic Table.
Their chemical combination is one sulphur(S) and two oxygens(O). Its chemical formula is 'SO2'. Their structural arrangement is 'O=S=O', That is each oxygen has a 'double bond to the sulphur.
As the name suggests , it is ONE sulphur and TWO (oxygens ( di-oxide). It combines with water to form sulphurous acid (Note the spelling) H2SO3.
NB For information there is also another sulphur/oxygen gas, viz. sulphur trioxide (SO3). This gas dissolves in water to form sulphuric acid (H2SO4)
The chemical reaction equation is SO3 + H2O = H2SO4 .
Sulfur Oxygen
There are two elements in sulfur dioxide (SO2): one sulfur and two oxygen.
There are two elements in sulfur dioxide (SO2): one sulfur and two oxygen.
Sulfur Dioxide is made up of the elements Sulfur and Oxygen. The chemical formula is: SO2.
Sulfur and oxygen
Sulfur + Oxygen = Sulfur Dioxide
The combustion of hydrogen sulfide or sulfur produces sulfur dioxide
None, sulfur dioxide is a chemical compound not a combination of drawing elements.
