If rural development is to take place it will be in the small towns of America not in the top 100 major metropolitan areas. What spurs small town growth? The times, things are changing and rural America is about to benefit. Corporate giants are not growing they are in fact shrinking and the draw to the major metro areas of corporate jobs is shrinking with it. The Federal government is doing much to support this. A lot of the recent stimulus packages are going not to the corporate giants but to the rural areas and smaller companies. The USDA has a new program that offers financing on rural homes no down payment is required.
