It seems like a pretty straight forward application to write. First create an app that has access to your location, then make sure it's always tracking movement. Then when the device covers more distance than a person could normally walk in x amount of time, it sends an alert.

It seems like a great app for an Apple Watch, if you can convince the user to let themselves be tracked 24x7.

Without the GPS, it might be possible to detect the movement, car vibrations with the accelerometer, but then you're getting into more algorithmic territory where the app has to be able to recognize car movement.

In terms of marketability, it might appeal to people who can't remember to buckle up, even if the car starts moving.
