The only difference between hydrocodone 5-500mg and hydrocodone 5-325mg is that the latter preparation contains less acetaminophen (APAP). The first number in each is the dose of hydrocodone, while the second number is the dose of APAP. The primary ingredient in the pills is hydrocodone, while the APAP is added primarily to discourage abuse (though officially, it is stated to be for synergistic pain relief). APAP is the same ingredient as in Tylenol, and it is very toxic to the liver in overdose. The maximum dose of APAP per day is 4000mg. Therefore, the pill with less APAP is better if one is taking many of these pills for pain relief.
There are several different effects of hydrocodone. Some of these side effects include nausea, vomiting, constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, anxiety, itching, and a rash.
Yes hydrocodone action is affected by alcohol use.
Hydrocodone is a Schedule II medication rarely used as a painkiller. Vicodin (for instance) is a compound combination of hydrocodone and APAP, and is a Schedule III medication. The APAP and hydrocodone seem to work synergistically in that the presence of each seems to enhance the effects of the other.
Yes, but it is really pointless because methadone has opiate blocking properties and will block the effects of the hydrocodone. When I was on methadone, I had a root canal and got vicodin (hydrocodone) and they did absolutley nothing because of the methadone. Methadone does help with pain though.
yes it will it be like you never took lortab yes it will it be like you never took lortab my friend tried it DPO his name and he couldn't fell the lortab it was funny.
I have done it before and for me it hasn't done ANYTHING different. Maybe it is because I have taken Hydrocodone for the past 5 years because of an accident I was in, so whoever said people died because of it are CRAZY!
Death.
Tylenol 3 contains Tylenol and Codeine. Codeine is a less powerful but still addictive narcotic. Hydrocodone or Vicodin, contains Hydrocodone and Tylenol, Vicodin is a middle class narcotic analgesic and is also very addictive. Finally, Oxycodone is a breakthrough pain medication and is high on the list for its effects. Tylenol 3 is lower in strength compared to Hydrocodone and Oxycodone.
Assuming that the tablet stregths are the same...there's nothing really different between the 2. They both contain the exact same drug (hydrocodone), they are just manufactured by 2 difference company, making them look a little different (shape/size/color/etc.Occasionally the binders & fillers (zero actual medicine) are a little different, but that shouldn't have any major effects seen by the patient.None. They are brand names.
Each opiate is different. Sometimes people take hydrocodone and they get sick to their stomach, but they don't when it comes to oxycodone. and vice-versa. It always depends from individual to indiviual. Oxycodone is more potent than than hydrocdone, but they're are people out there that don't get as many side-effects from hydrocodone. So, as I said before, it all depends on the person.
SEX, SLAVERY, and DEATH.
I don't think this should be in the "Sex" category but okay. The side-effects of Hydrocodone are varied and can occur in different ways for different people. If you think you are having a side-effect of Hydrocodone you should either contact your pharmacist who you got the medicine from or your physician or even the ER if it's a life-threatening emergency. Now that the health disclaimer is out of the way. The most common side effects are drowsiness, fatigue, nausea and vomiting.
