Force
Electrical forces cancel each other out over large ditances as charges neutralize each other; gravitational forces accumulate over large distances as mass aggregates.
Actually, the planets are all constantly moving. They have a gravitational attraction to each other, though.
Gravity and gas.
Gravity ! The earth is being constantly pulled towards the sun, by the sun's gravitational pull. At the same time, centrifugal force is trying to 'throw' the earth out into space. The two forces just about cancel each other out - resulting in the earth remaining in orbit around the sun.
Forces acting against each other.
equilibrium
Then the forces are most likely opposing and negate each other.
Two entities that are in opposition, or working against each other.
The two opposing forces in a book are the protagonist and the antagonist.
If the opposing forces are pulling exactly opposite of each other, then take the difference of the magnitudes of the two forces (subtract the smaller value from the larger value), and the direction vector of the resultant force is in the same direction as the larger force.
They all were - a matter of survival as they constantly fought each other. Sparta and Athens led opposing leagues.
because they are opposing forces eternally fighting. space against time, mano a mano
equilibrium
Forces that cancel each other out are called balanced forces.
Balanced forces, that are of equal strength.
Like Parallel forces are the forces that are parallel to each other and have same direction. Unlike parallel forces are the forces that are parallel but have directions opposite to each other.
