No you will not loose you your hearing but your ear will get infected because the hairs are their to protect it, and when you ear gets infected it could get damaged badly, so then you may loose your hearing.
The ears play a huge role in feeling dizzy. If a person has an ear infection, the inner ear can be affected, and the person will experience vertigo. This happens because the inner ear controls a person's equilibrium, or feeling of balance.

there are 3 part's... the outer ear, the inner ear, and the middle ear. all of these are responsible for hearing but the inner is for balance also.
You can play by ear, if you have super good hearing, but music sheet is better because you read the notes.
