People want better lives so they seek a place that allows them to have a better life and that is the United States. Since the beginning of the country people have come to create lives and because of this a great deal has been added to the culture and history of the United States. The foods, music, inventions, art, government, businesses, and military have all benefited from immigrants. All of us today, except for Native Americans, are from immigrant ancestors. My ancestors arrived from Ireland in the 1700's to help settle the country and have fought in every war. We need to be proud of the fact that this country makes a place for people seeking a better place come to find it here.
