There was 90 ships docked in Pearl Harbor. Three ships sank, while four more took damage.
That was home port.
Pearl Harbor Day is a remembrance day for the Pearl Harbor bombing on December 7, 1941. The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii during World War II, destroying many of the US Military's ships and killing over 1,000 people in the attack.
Most of them were stationed AT Pearl Harbor, but there were three aircraft carriers out of the base patrolling the waters, which in the future helped the United States win the war!
Although, technically the Malayan campaign may have occurred a day after Pearl Harbor; the invasion forces (Ships, Planes, tanks, troops, etc.) were in position to launch the attack at the same time as the Pearl Harbor attack took place.
Japanese pilots from the Zuikaku and Shōkaku aircraft carriers are the pilots who bombed Pearl Harbor. There were also six mini submarines that were sent to attack the ships but they were not very successful.
IJN & USN subs went looking for ships to sink.
There were no submarines sunk or damaged during the attack on Pearl Harbor; all vessels either sunk or damaged were capital ships (battleships, cruisers, etc.) or support vessels (tenders, tugs, etc.).
all the aircraft carriers
"Compromise" suggests that there was a negotiation of some sort and the attack on Pearl Harbor was a middle ground. No such thing happened. The 'conflict' was between the Japanese planes and the gun crews on the ships and harbor defenses.
