To protect your skin from harmful UV rays, wear sunscreen and clothing that covers most of your body including a hat to protect your skull and sunglasses to protect your eyes. Keeping out of the sun in general will of course prevent harmful UV rays from reaching your skin. However, keep in mind that the sun is a good source of Vitamin D, and so ten minutes a day in the sun will do more good than bad.

Maintaining good hygiene by washing your skin daily will protect your skin from harmful bacteria (plus, it will help to prevent acne and blackhead breakouts!).

Also, the food you eat affects every part of your body, including your skin. Eating the right nutrients will help keep your skin healthy.
