What 3 things do you need to have in a paragraph for the body?

A topic sentence-to give a basic idea of what the paragraph would be about

Support- Evidence from the text or elsewhere (for an argumentative essay)

Analysis- Using the support to determine how that particular evidence supports your overall claim in your thesis.

example:

doing a report or paper on some kind of bird. you choose to give a general report on birds. you might choose three topics for each body paragraph so intro about birds, telling what topics you will cover and your conclusion. you pick three topics, habitat, diet, and interesting facts about whatever bird you're doing a report on. So in your first body paragraph you might use environment that the bird lives in (habitat# as your main point to this first body paragraph- where, and why and how they live would be your extra points within the paragraph #sentences#. you would follow with two more paragraphs w/points to back up your main points. I've always done reports with the intro paragraph which states your 3 points you will talk about, 3 body paragraphs #3 points) and a conclusion paragraph that sums up all points.
