As a young teen, Corey Haim starred in the Canadian family TV series "The Edison Twins", and the short-lived series "Roomies", alongside Burt Young. He also starred in the TV movie "A Time To Live" as Liza Minelli's son who suffered from muscular dystrophy, and got good reviews for his natural performance.
Corey's talent soon led him to the silver screen with roles in "First Born", "Murphy's Romance" and "Silver Bullet", before he had his breakout lead in "Lucas". Corey became a famous teen idol with the release of "The Lost Boys" in 1987.

Eddie Murphy starred in and produced the sitcom "The Nutty Professor" in the late 80s. However, it's important to note that "The Nutty Professor" was actually released as a film in 1996. In the late 80s, Murphy was primarily known for his work on "Saturday Night Live" and films like "Beverly Hills Cop." If you're referring to a specific sitcom, he didn't have a major sitcom from that era but was involved in various projects during that time.
