Yes the Mahatma did eventually achieve all his gouls, though it came at a cost, when the violence broke out in India, on many occausions such as the Moplah Rebellion and the Chauri Chaura bloodshed, he would fast and medidate for days on end, thus the reason why there is a decade between the Non Cooperation Movement and the Salt March Campaing, although he was in jail for a few years some time between these decades.

These where his successes, for he is a national hero for India, his spinning wheel being the emblem on their flag and i think the first presisdent of India also...might have to check that out.
