Columns and rows can be swapped by transposing them. You can copy a row of cells and using Paste Special and the Transpose option the data can be put into columns. You can do the same with data in columns and transpose them into rows. There is also a Transpose function in Excel.
It permits columns with different names to be joined. It permits columns that don't have matching data types to be joined.
To create columnar data in Word, you can use the "Columns" feature. Select the text you want to format into columns, then go to the "Layout" tab, click on "Columns" and choose the number of columns you want. You can also adjust the column width and spacing using the options in the Columns menu.

The delimiter used in the data being converted from text to columns can vary depending on the format of the data. Common delimiters include commas (,), tabs (\t), semicolons (;), and spaces ( ). The Sort dialog allows you to specify multiple levels of sorting, enabling you to prioritize how each column is sorted.
To select data using a query, you need to use a SELECT statement in SQL. Specify the columns you want to retrieve data from and the table where the data is located. You can also apply conditions using WHERE clause to filter the data before retrieving it.
Hiding columns in a table does not remove the data from the table; it simply hides the column from view. The data in the hidden columns remains in the table and can be unhidden at any time to display the data.
