Human eye is able to sense electromagnetic waves with frequency range 8 x 1014 Hz to 4 x 10 14 Hz. The highest frequency is for violet and the lowest is for red. Hence we use the order VIBGYOR for visible range.
The frequencies higher than 8 x 10 14 Hz will be termed as ultra violet and those less than 4 x 10 14 Hz as infra red.
So, these radiations cannot be sensed by the human eye, in general. Other waves not visible to human eye are:
X-rays, Gamma rays which are having higher frequency than ultra violet and micro waves, radio waves which are having frequency lower than infra red.
Visible and invisible energy compose dark energy or radiation. Radiation is composed of both visible and invisible light or energy that expands or spreads as it moves away from its source.
The only difference is visible means that an object can be seen. Invisible means that it cannot be seen.
Word Opposite visible invisible
The spectrum that our eye had receptor is visible and the invisible is just purely out of our receptor range.
invisible
Radiations within the range of 200 - 400nm are Visible Radiations. And others out of this range are invisible radiations.
Visible and invisible energy compose dark energy or radiation. Radiation is composed of both visible and invisible light or energy that expands or spreads as it moves away from its source.
By definition, ultra-violet light is outside the visible spectrum of EM radiation. Thus it is defined as invisible.
radiation
The electromagnetic radiation (excluding the visible range) that pervades the universe.
Invisible means there is no visible light. They may give off other electromagnetic radiation, but "light" usually refers to visible light.
Fluorescent means something is glowing, usually with visible light. Fluorescent means giving off visible (or invisible) radiation as a result of absorbing shorter wavelength radiation.
The only difference is visible means that an object can be seen. Invisible means that it cannot be seen.
They study visible light by using optical telescopes.
The visible or invisible radiation emitted by certain substances as a result of incident radiation of a shorter wavelength such as X-rays or ultraviolet light.
The visible spectrum between red and violet.
It all depends upon where you place the boundaries of the infrared spectrum. The electromagnetic spectrum is a continuum and there is no exact boundary for any particular designation. If you define IR as that radiation below red which is invisible then Yes it is invisible.
