You can only stay 90 days at a time without a visa. However, you can spend 90 days in a European Union country, like Ireland, and then travel across the sea to the UK and spend 90 days there. And remember that Australia is not considered part of Europe. Basically it is 90 days per stay. Leaving the country and coming back creates a new stay technically.
