Sanding them off is the only way. You may have to sand the entire length of the timber in question to preserve the look, when you repaint or stain it.

You need sand and gunpowder, crafted like this: S G S G S G S G S S = Sand G = Gunpowder
Sanding wood is removes scratches from your piece of timber. Start with a rough piece of sand paper (120) and work up to finer grains (160, 240, 320, and finally 400). Sanding down our wood will give your timber a smooth feel and will the the grain easier to see. Sanding is especially important if you are using a figured piece of timber as it makes the beauty of the timber more prominent. Always sand to ensure that your produce the highest quality product
1 ton, but I don't know whether that's a short ton or a long ton. A cubic ton is a measurement of volume (i.e. how much space it takes up). A cubic ton of sand is how much space a ton of sand takes up. A cubic ton of timber is how much space a ton of timber takes up, and as timber is lighter than sand, a cubic ton of timber is larger than a cubic ton of sand, even though they both weigh the same. As for the volume of a cubic ton of sand, I have no idea. You could get a rough answer this way: "m" divided by "d" where m =one ton in whatever units you are using (e.g. kg) and d = density of sand (in the same units)

a jobbing moulder makes sand moulds from using timber patterns to form a mould of the timber pattern which is then fitted with desired cores, painted and molten metal poured into
Sand can be used to make glass, sandstone and TNT. Glass is made by smelting the sand in a furnace. Sandstone is a block that looks quite similar to sand. But sandstone does not fall down when you remove the block beneath it, which is often useful when creating houses and other buildings. It can be crafted by placing 4 sand blocks in a square, like this (S = Sand, E = Empty): E E E S S E S S E TNT isn't so commonly used. It's not very useful, and hard to make. But it can be fun sometimes. When you activate it, it explodes a little area around it. It can be crafted like this (S = Sand, G = Gunpowder/Sulphur): G S G S G S G S G
