The HR strategy should reflect the view of the organization's mission. If they aren't aligned then the organization may have problems attracting people who align with their objectives.
Of course it does. If your people are unhappy, they will work poorly for you and you will experience staffing problems, customer relations problems, production problems, labor unrest, and possibly even sabotage. HR management, if it is done right, can minimize the troubles, or can even make your employees happy to work for you. It is a shame that so few companies seem to recognize the value of happy employees.
