What happens when you swallow a jelly bean?

Well, I swallowed a skittle without chewing before on accident. I was nervous that I will have a stomachach or a headach or a sramp. I tried drinking a cup of water but nothin happened. I think if u swallow a skittle without chewing, nothin happens. It's just like takin a pill or a vitamin! Just like I did when I drank a cup of water so it'll go down! xD

When you have chewed your food you swallow it, once swallowed it will work its way into your stomach. It will take at least 30mins to 2 hours for your food to break down in your stomach acid and will work its way into you bladder if drunk or into your bowl if ate. Then once reached that point that's when you need to go to the toilet. If eating too fast or swallow in to big of a chunk that's when you get indigestion.
Muscles at the back of the mouth and along the esophagus push the content down to the stomach.
