Harry again gives Dobby many socks in Goblet of Fire, after Dobby helps Harry get through the second task in the Triwizard Tournament.
He put a sock in Tom Riddle's diary. He then went to Lucius Malfoy (Dobby's master) and gave him Tom Riddle's diary as a little sting. Lucius than threw the diary at Dobby which contained the sock which was a piece of clothing, and if a master ever gave his house elf a piece of clothing, the house elf was set free.

If I am remembering correctly, Harry gives his Uncle Vernon's old crusty socks to Dobby the house-elf as a Christmas gift. Dobby loves to receive clothing, as it reminds him and others that he is a free elf, not a slave like fellow house-elves Winky and Kreacher.

Harry's sock sets him free, he tricks Malfoy into giving it to him; spoiler alert: this piece of clothing becomes Dobby's favourite and thinks that they are suppose to be worn not as a pair but so they don't match each other and he make a pair for Harry latter on in the series ^.^

Ron, Hermione, the Weasleys and Hagrid always give presents to him. In the Philosophers Stone he gets a gift from Dumbledore. In the Prisoner of Azkaban Dobby gives him socks. Sirius would have given him presents in the Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix too. There will have been more, but these are all I can think of off the top of my head. Hope this helps!
