These sell in internet auctions for about 18.50.
The 1963 proof set is rather common, but the half-dollar, dime and quarter were all struck in 90% silver which gives it value. It is worth around $17-24 or so.
You didn't say whether you have individual coins, an uncirculated set, or a proof set. If it's separate coins, as of 12/2008 the values are: Half: $8.40 Quarter: $3.75 Dime: $1.75 Nickel: $0.20 Cent: $0.05 If it's an uncirculated set, the value of the full package is about $15 for a set from either Mint, Philadelphia or Denver. If it's a proof set, $18.
No circulation Franklin half dollar is rare, and with the rise of silver prices it is worth about $15 in scrap silver unless it is a proof or in a mint set.
The complete 1963 mint set has a value of $40.

The U.S. Mint does not make "proof mint sets" of any year. The two types of sets have very different coins in them. A 1980 PROOF set has a current value of $5.00 and was issued for $10.00. A MINT set has a value of $8.00 and was issued for $9.00.

A normal 1991 S proof set is worth $9. A 1991 S proof prestige set is worth $51.
In original box as issued from the Mint retail value is $84.00, issue price was 19.95
There is no record of the Royal Mint having produced a "gold" Proof set in 1974, only the usual Proof set. Royal Mint gold Proof sets issued from 1980 contain only the "Sovereign" coinage.
