Plymouth Rock is a small town in Massachusetts where most people believe the first Thanksgiving transpired between the settlers and the Indians. The rock they may or may not have walked on when coming through the harbor now resides in a museum. There are now findings that the first Thanksgiving happened years earlier in St. Augustine.
Salem, Massachusetts was the first established town in Massachusetts Bay Colony. There was a group of settlers from the Dorchester Company that had settled there earlier and left, never establishing a town. This was on Cape Ann.
