The Ute tribe was know to hunt there but it got too cold in the winter to stay. They would migrate down the Cache La Poudre River down to the Fort Collins area(Still cold!). I was up in the Red Feather lakes back in 2001 & found my first arrowhead on the little dirt road between Lost Lake & the pond in front of it.
