You can use stones to evolve all types of Pokemon. E.g. Eevee can be evolved using all major stones (Fire, Water etc.) Nidorana can be evolved with a moon stone.

evolves eevee into a jolteon and a pikachu into a richu
waterstone:
eevee into a vaporeon
lombre into a ludicoldo
staryu into a starmie
poliwhirl into a poliwrath
and a shellder in to a cloyster (my favorite Pokemon ever!!!)
there are a lot of items so (most need to be traded, i will mention those which only need to be leveled up:
up grade evolves a porygon into a porygon 2
dubious disc evolves a porygon 2 - a porygon z
deepsea scale/tooth evolves a clampearl into a gorbyss and a huntail (scale = gorbyss...)
dragon scale evolves a seadra into a kingdra
electrizer = electivire (read up top)
kings rock evolves a slowpoke into a slowking and a poliwhirl into a politoad when traded
magmarizer = magmortar (read up top)
metal coat = scyther into a scizor and an onix into a steelix
protector = evolves rhydon into rhyperior when trade like all the others so far
razor claw= sneasil into weavile when equipped and leveled up during the night. 8pm - 4 am
razor fang = gligar into gliscor during night time. 8 pm - 4am
reaper cloth = dusclops into a dusknoir when traded
