The first Pokemon egg you get depends on what Pokemon you put in the daycare. You can also get a Happiny egg from a man in Hearthome, and a Riolu egg from Riley on Iron Island after you help him out of the cave.

shinx (luxray has well balanced stats and great moves)
zubat (crobat, its final evolution is worth the work of its pre-lutions)
Buneary (Lopunny is really hard to kill as its resistant to most moves)
riolu or mareep
and its best if you have an HM slave you can carry around, bidoof is a great HM slave, it learns many of the HM's.

∙ 12y agoYou should start off with Chimchar since its stats are high along with its speed. First to catch is a starly because of it evolution staraptor which also has high stats.
