I believe the title is "Walking, But Not Alone." Not sure of the composer. The Couriers sang it on their 1969-ish album "I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say." It's also on Palmetto State's 1992 release "Southern Style."
Lyrics (from memory):
Oh hallelujah, praise His wonderful name
I know He's made within my heart a change
He satisfies my every need each day
He walks beside me all along the way
When Satan tries to hinder and pull me down
My Savior lifts me up to higher ground
I know He's always walking by my side
In His love I'll abide.
(chorus) I know I'm walking, but I'm not alone
He's leading me up to a heavenly home
The saints of old and many prophets I'll meet
After shouting up and down those gold-paved streets
I'll ask ol' Moses how that he made it through
I'll ask ol' Daniel 'bout the lions, too
I'm making preparations for a trip above
To that sweet home of love.
Thru many storms and battles we've been tossed
Still there are many rivers yet to be crossed
But if we're true we'll reach that promised land
And we will get to join that angel band
We'll sing and shout and never have a care
There'll be no burdens up in heaven to bear
I'm going to try my best to make it through
Now my friend, how 'bout you?
There are too many to choose from. Here is one:
Praise His Holy Name"
We're gonna praise His holy name
We're gonna praise His holy name
Lift Him up, above the heavens
Praise His holy name
Lord I want to thank You for everything You've done
Way beyond my wildest hopes and dreams
Gonna lift my hands and sing out loud
And praise His wonderful name
Hallelujah
(Hallelujah)
Glory to Almighty God
(Glory to Almighty God)
Hallelujah
(Hallelujah)
Glory to Almighty God
(Glory to Almighty God)

I'm not sure, but I think you are referring to a Don Moen song "Hallelujah to the lamb" is the song.
The joyful praise sung before the Gospel is called the “Alleluia” or “Hallelujah.” It is a celebratory acclamation that recognizes the presence of Christ in the proclamation of the Gospel.
In Black Gospel (Vickie Winans) In Southern Gospel (Brian Free and Assurance) **Southern Harmony also charted with the song in Southern Gospel back around 2003/2004.
Yes, there are gay people in Southern Gospel. I could write a book on it.
Belonging to, or contained in, the gospel; evangelical.
Gay southern gospel musicians are all closeted, so it's not possible to know.
