In order to determine when you need to go to bed, figure out what time you have to be up the next morning. What time do you have to be at work or school? How long does it take to drive or ride there? How long does it take to eat breakfast and get ready to go? Would you like to add a little extra time just to make sure you get there on time? All that must be calculated so you know when you should get up.

Once you know when you have to wake up, you can figure out when to get to bed by knowing that a kid or teenager needs 10 hours of sleep every night and an adult needs 6-8 hours.
