It depends how much traffic you have on your network, color vs. black and white does not make any difference. It is all based off traffic, video resolution, and what all programs are running on the network
The general rule in networking is that the network id cannot be all zeroes or all ones, and the host id cannot be all zeroes or all ones. The all zero address results in a reserved address meaning "this network". The all ones address is a broadcast address, and cannot be assigned to a single system.
you have to check if all the network devices communicate each other! how to do this: from all the PC's type: start > run > cmd >ipconfig this will show some stats of your network keep in mind that all the IP's of your network should have the two or at least the first set of numbers different :-)
