well first you would need enough balance to not slip off the skiis so the best thing to do is go bicycling, and increase balance. also, having leg muscle would help you have more control over the direction of where you want to move your skiis so again, bicycling is definite. also, get used to having your heart rate accelerate so do something that really gest your heart rate up, such as running, exercising, stuff like that. swimming is also another good one.
