well for starters, t hey had the "hello girls" who at that point in time were the operators. all calls went through them before reaching the person you were looking for. without them there was no way of calling your friends or family.

the women of the 1920's stayed at home as domestic help, while the men were busy at work. the 1920's was a big turning point for women. all thanks to Emily Murphy.

Emily Murphy was the one behind the womens rights movemt. She got us the freedom and women got to work, not just the men.
