In Chapter 5, Ralph says that Piggy can think things through, and how he has all his ideas lined up in his head. Hear is an excerpt:Once more that evening Ralph had to adjust his values. Piggy could think. He could go step by step inside that fat head of his, only Piggy was no chief. But Piggy, for all his ludicrous body, had brains. This shows that Piggy would be heard more if people could see past his weight.

Jack does not think highly of Ralph's helper. He sees Piggy as weak, annoying, and a hindrance to their power struggle on the island. Jack often belittles Piggy and excludes him from the group's activities.
Yes, at least I think that it a good description of him. Piggy is essentially a static character. While the other main protagonists such as Ralph and Jack change and alter over the course of the novel Piggy remains essentially both physically and mentally unchanged. Piggy is a constant against which the changes in the other boys can be compared.
Ralph admires piggy because piggy has a clear sense of things. He doesn't think about the negatives. And he doesn't think things that will get him scared. He states the truth and lives with it. that is what makes him who he is.
In Ch 5 of Lord of the Flies, Ralph says there are no monsters on the Island. Piggy agrees with him. Simon says the beast is within them.
*WARNING, POTENTIAL SPOILERS* Piggy and that rock must be one - so too Simon (I think it is!?) when he's delusional around the pigs head - maybe when they are around the fire - also perhaps piggy at the start blowing into the shell?
Piggy is the most intellegent character in LOTF and understands that it is unexplainable that a beast could live on the island. the very idea just baffles him. he is logical, level headed person who can only answer questions with hard facts.
i think a piggy
piggy is the only one with the insight and wisdom to think to use the conch in such a way
Simon gives piggy meat despite Jack's objection in the book "Lord of the Flies". This act shows Simon's kindness and compassion towards Piggy, as he tries to take care of him and ensure his well-being, despite the growing animosity and aggression among the boys on the island.
Nobody really knows why the little piggy goes WA WA WA all the way home. Some think that it is perhaps that the little piggy did not have any roast beef, or because he had to get home for something important.
