Buddhism does not have a hierarchy of religious leaders as other religions do- the highest rank in Buddhism are Buddhist monks, who live in monasteries and who's job it is to provide teaching, guidance and help to Buddhist lay people who come to seek their advice. Within the monastic communities there are elder monks, whose task it is to keep order within the community and to guide the younger monks along the Buddhist path. Some young monks refer to these elders as 'Master' or 'Teacher', but it is a term used out of respect and not an official position. Buddhist nuns occupy a lower position than monks, but their task is the same in relation to lay people. The monasteries are communities that are open to visitors and provide them with food, shelter and sleeping quarters - they are funded entirely by donations from the communities in which they are based, but also sometimes from donations and benefits given to them by wealthy people or organisations that promote Buddhist thought and teaching. However, the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, which is the newest school of Buddhist philosophy to be established, does have a senior leader who is referred to as the Ganden Tripa. The Dalai Lama is another word for the leader of the Gelug School of Buddhism, it being a title that was created by Altan Khan under the Chinese Ming Dynasty in 1578- however, the current Dalai Lama (real name Tenzin Gyatso) is not regarded as the current Ganden Tripa as he fled Tibet when it was occupied by Communist China in 1959 and has not returned since. The Western world sees him as being the spiritual leader of the Buddhist world, but this is not accepted in Tibet, where the position of Ganden Tripa is held to have been vacant since Communist rule was imposed.
There are many leaders within the Buddhist traditions. There are three major branches of Buddhism: Mahayana, Therevada and Vajrayana. From these three major divisions there are many schools. The schools each have lineage holders, revered teachers and most monasteries or temples have abbots. For example, within Vajrayana lies Tibetan Buddhism. Tibetan Buddhism consists of several lineages, Nyigma, Gelug, Sakya, and Kagyu. The Ganden Tripa is the spiritual head of the Gelugpa and His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the temporal head (a position with more political power).
Almost everyone has had to hold their urine until there's a place and time to use a bathroom. Some tricks people use:distraction, don't think about itavoid drinking anything morecrossing their legstightening their buttocks to try to "stop" the urgewiggling; jiggling a legsidestepping, shifting from weight on one foot to the other footmoving from leaning against a wall to standing without any supportbending slightly at the waist, and standing back upHowever, the NUMBER ONE WAY IS -- Always go to the bathroom before going on or going into:a car ridea plane ride or tripa class at schoola meetinga moviea playa sports eventa doctor's appt.etc.
with the odometer reading visible, (not trip A or trip B..) turn off engine. While keeping Odo/trip button depressed, turn ignition back on (not starting the engine) You will see dashes (instead of numbers) on your odometer disappearing one at a time. it will be replaced by 0's (zeros).. Release the Odo/trip button and your original mileage will come up.... And your done..... until the next oil change. For 2010 and later model years: The odo has to be set to Trip A (different than older models, and yes, the owner's manual is wrong) -With the odo set to TripA, turn the car off - Push and hold the Odo button - Without your foot on the brake, push the start button twice - Watch the maintence dashes count down to 0, then release the odo button This worked just as stated on my 2011 Lexus ES 350. Thanks.
The general term for the head monk of Tibetan Buddhism is the Dalai Lama. The current (14th) Dalai Lama's name is Tenzin Gyatso; he is currently in exile.Answer:There are several schools of Buddhism in Tibet. There is no general leader for entire community. Although widely considered by westerners to be the head of Tibetan Buddhism, HH the Dalai Lama is the secular head of the Gelug school. He is standing in and assuming the spirutal duties as well while the Panchan Lam's latest reincarnation is sought for. A analogy is the relation of the Catholic Pope to Christianity - whle he is well known church personality he only speaks for one sect. The four main traditions are:Nyingma, considered to be the original order, founded by Padmasambhāva and ŚāntarakṣitaKagyu, "Lineage of the (Buddha's) Word", has several subsets and is led by a Karmapa, the Tsalpa Kagyu, the Barom Kagyu, and Pagtru Kagyu.Sakya, "Grey Earth", headed by the Sakya Trizin.Gelug, "Way of Virtue". Has a dual leadership for temporal and spritual matters. Its spiritual head is the Ganden Tripa and its temporal one the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama is the reincarnation of the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
Disclaimer: The light is reminding you to change your oil.1. Press "Power" with the brake pedal applied in the same way you would normally start your car.2. Press the "Odo/Trip" button such that the regular odometer reading is showing rather than one of the two trip odometers.3. Press "Power" again to turn off the vehicle.4. Hold down the "Odo/Trip" button, hold down the break pedal and then press "Power".5. Keep holding the "Odo/Trip" button for three or so seconds and then release the button. That's it! Just make sure to change your oil. This doesn't work for a 2010 Prius. Here how to do it for a 2010 Prius:1) With the power on, switch to the odometer/trip-meter to display "TRIPA".2) Power OFF (push the "Power" button).3) Power ON, while holding the button for toggling between "km/h" and "MPH"4) You will get a screen showing the reset of the oil change data.5) When the reset is complete, release the button.
