What is om ah hum vajra guru padma siddhi hum means?

This is the mantra of Padmasambhava, 'The Lotus-Born One'. He is attributed with having brought the Dharma (Buddhism) to Tibet. These syllables can be thought of as Padmasambhava in sound form. There is no real translation - they don't really 'mean' anything, at least not logically speaking. But... 'Om' is supposedly the purest, most fundamental sound in the universe. It is called a 'seed syllable'. 'Ah' and 'Hum' are also seed syllables - together they can be seen as representing body, speech and mind. 'Vajra' is a key symbol in Mahayana Buddhism. It means 'diamond' and also 'thunderbolt', and relates to the unification of opposites and to overcoming (or smashing through) obstacles. 'Guru' means something like 'teacher'. And 'Vajra guru' is a synonym of Padmasambhava. 'Padma' means lotus, and is another key Buddhist symbol. 'Siddhi' means 'spiritual power' or 'spiritual attainment'.

When was the vajra created?

The vajra is a spark plug that used a diamond as a resistor. A vajra is also called the diamond thunderbolt because of the amount of energy that passed through such vajras. It has been here for thousands of years. It was used in highly advanced vehicles for a extraterrestrial and intraterrestrial travel purposes. By intraterrestrial I mean the hollow earth. This was known to the Tibetans thousands of years ago. Today little of that knowledge is still available because the Chinese are killing so many Tibetans.

What is meaning of mantra Om vajra sattva um?

Its actually om vajra sattwa hung. It rids negative energy. om meaning the univeres, everything that is and will be. vajra is the weapon of indra king of the divas (look up the story) sattwa means exsistance, reality, purity ang Hung is just the sound that resignates, similar to om to end the mantra. If you read the story of indra you will see he defeated two demons that wanted to demolish the earth. When saying this mantra think of it as killing the negative energies, making them leave as did indra with his weapon. We embody indra and defeat the negative energy. -Camelle C. :)
